The aim of this blog is to bring together various resources that can help enhance the teaching of geography at university. Although there are many sites cataloguing material for school teachers, there aren't many providing maps, charts and other visualisations to enhance undergraduate teaching. We're hoping to create something useful that brings together the plethora of relevant information available on the web.
In turn, it is our hope these can then be used to help academics avoid every student's frustration - unimaginative, poorly designed and text heavy lecture slides - by inspiring people to use innovative ways of depicting information
We're not claiming to be experts on graphic design or teaching, but we do enjoy doing and combining both. In part, then, this is a learning exercise for ourselves as well as for readers and we welcome constructive contributions. So, if you find a site or set of materials you'd like to share, post a link in the comments section or contact us and we'll blog it.
